The personal trainer is designed to push you to the limit through target goals, a rigid schedule, and fun reward system. Most routines should last no longer than 6 weeks so you can evaluate your performance, adjust the trainer accordingly, and target different muscle groups.
Anytime you reset your personal trainer, your profile data and previous routine data will NOT BE DELETED.
-
The first step to setup your routine is to define your improvement target goal, schedule, and duration.
Target Goal
The target goal defines how much you'd like to improve based on your test results. For a point of reference, a target goal over 100% may prove very difficult for routines lasting 3 weeks or less. For routines lasting 6 weeks or longer, a target goal of 150% is achievable.
Schedule
By touching the Schedule selection, you can set which days of the week to exercise. We recommend taking a day off between exercises so your body and muscles can recover.
Duration
Setting the duration will establish how long you will perform this routine. Most routines should last anywhere from 3-9 weeks so you can re-evaluate your performance and target different muscle groups.
-
This is where you build your exercise routine by adding exercises from the pre-configured list, or by adding your own custom exercises by pressing the "+" button from the top right hand corner of the exercise list.
Pre-configure Routines
Touching the 'Load Routine' button will give you the option of selecting from pre-configured routines that have been put together by personal trainers, US Marines, and our own staff members.
-
After you've established your routine, you'll want to take the exercise tests so the personal trainer can accurately determine daily targets you need to hit each day in order to reach the Target Goal established above. You can skip the tests entirely and the personal trainer will default your test results to 10.
Before pressing the Done button to finalize your routine, make sure the Target Goal is realistic and double check your schedule. Making adjustments to your personal trainer in the future will reset the entire routine, but your previous exercise data will be saved in the database for future use.
